1. Name: The name of the Charter School shall exist DaVinci University.

2. Applicant: A Lease Agreement is granted to DaVinci Academy of Science and the Arts, which applied on October 21, 2004. An agreement was originally granted to Riverside Technology Loftier Schoolhouse.

3. Location: The charter school shall be established in Ogden, Utah, located within the Ogden City Schoolhouse District , which is fabric to its authorisation.

4. Mission Statement: DaVinci Academy of Science and the Arts is defended to developing competent, inventive, and ethical, thinkers who employ their knowledge, skills, leadership and problem-solving abilities to become productive members of a dynamic society. We accomplish this mission past:

• Offering innovative, onsite, distance, online programs, and internships opportunities that promote enthusiasm, exploration, and academic excellence.
• Emphasizing a rigorous science and arts foundation.

Vision Statement: "To create an academic institution where students tin learn, develop their talents, acquire social and cognitive skills, principal their bookish goals, and be prepared for whatsoever college or career."

5. Purpose(s) of the charter school: The Lease School purposes consistent with U.C.A.

§53G-5-104 include:

• Improve educatee learning through a stimulating and challenging environs that encourages and refines critical thinking processes, nurtures an appreciation for math and sciences and their applicability to real piece of work environments, and by social responsibleness, professionalism and teamwork.
• Encourage innovative teaching methods through minor class size to ensure that every student tin can interact with the teacher and other students in a positive and effective manner and to provide an surroundings in which students can closely interact with industry leaders and innovators while applying skills learned in form.
• Increase choice of learning opportunities for students by providing a quality educational alternative for families, regardless of their income level, race, religion, or abilities.
• Provide opportunities for greater parental involvement in all aspects of their kid's instruction.

6. Fundamental elements of the lease school: The key elements of the Charter School, as set along in the awarding, are programs and processes that make this school unique. They will be included in the State Charter School Board annual review as assurances and included in the School Accountability Framework Comprehensive reviews.

DaVinci Academy

1. Provides a solid liberal arts foundation in add-on to a rigorous curriculum of science and math for low to moderate-income families of Ogden City/Weber County.
2. Teaches with the student in mind and culminates in the student's senior projects, which is a focused research project in an area of interest for the educatee.
3. Offers intensive academic assist; tutoring and courses volition be offered to those students requiring remediation, especially in math.
4. Expects students to participate in programs which explore different careers, both professional person and technical, with staff acting every bit mentors.

10. Structure of governing board:
    • Number of lath members: Betwixt 7-12 as outlined in DaVinci's Articles of Incorporation
    • Appointment of lath members: 1 half of the board positions will be made up of parents of DaVinci students, and the other half of the board members will be fabricated up of community members.
